The Road to Wedded Bliss, Part 1

Hello All.
I am very poor at keeping up with people; if you are my friend, you already know that. But I have very exciting news to share now as I am spending what seems to be every waking moment thinking about wedding plans. For those who don't know, Stephen and I got engaged on Easter. I got chocolate and diamonds (lemme just tell you it does not get any better than that.)

Two months in and the planning is in fully swing. Thanks to Martha Stewart Weddings, my mind is a tulle cover swirl of ideas. Sometimes I feel like a I way over my head, but thanks to loving friends and family I know I will not only manage, but succeed.

The biggest accomplishment of the month: Save the Date cards have been mailed! These little beauties were a labor of love. I hope you enjoyed them.

I have the groom (check), I have the dress (check), I have the minister (check).

Now what?

Just Kidding.

Confessions of a Fatty Fatterson

Tonight following work I risked life and limb to get a McDonald's fix. I skated into the drive through and ordered a #2. For those who know what that is, you too are a McDonald's addict; for those who don't, it is a 2 cheeseburger meal. I resist the urge to "large size" it, which by the way is exactly the same thing as "super-sizing" but a more PC way of saying it. This is especially so following a similarly named movie, but I digress. I go to the window and hand the nice gentleman my little dollars and proceed to the next window to pick up my food...and I wait. I then realize that I am waiting on the french fries and I get excited. I know in my heart of hearts that they are going to be hot and wonderfully crispy and I get a twinge of regret passing up the larger version. When I receive my food, I am then ecstatic to find that my hopes where fulfilled and the fries were delicious. They were all quickly consumed and I moved on to the more mundane burger. As I reach into the bag to retrieve burger #2 I discover what I like to call bag fries (you know, the ones that have fallen out of the bright red carton) and I become genuinely excited at my good fortune. It was at that point I realized I had a problem. I wonder if they have a McDonald's Eaters Anonymous?

A Year in Review

1. I bought a cute little house in Cordova. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a giant shed in the back. I love it.
2. I found 2 dogs on the side of the road and added them to my clan, bringing my total to 3 dogs, 3 cat, 2 fish. I named the Tank and Mr. Bubbles. I named him Mr. Bubbles because it is hard to keep a straight face when you yell "Dammit Mr. Bubbles." Most of the time I love them, but sometimes I have to resist punching them in the face
3. I purchased a fancy flat screen, LCD TV and then had to buy an "old fashion" set of bunny ears antenna to make it work. Irony I know.
4. I went to Disney World twice. Once in July, where I am convinced the happiest place on earth became the surface of the sun. We did get to see July 4th firework in Epcot. It was so loud that we felt like out hearts were going to beat out of our chests. The second was in October. We went for 3 days and it was totally worth it. Not So Scary Halloween Party is the best thing ever! Disney World + candy= bliss.

I've been busy, there were so many life changes. I can't wait to see what the upcoming year year has in store!
